And so it begins...

So, we figured we'd give blogging a shot to keep everybody up to date on our ultra exciting life that we know all of you want to know about. :-) Actually, it just gives us a chance to share stuff with those of you who have the time to look at it so we hope you have fun looking through it.
We're looking forward to this Christmas holiday, as we hope you all are. We did end up with a pink Christmas tree through an odd twist of bad stocking of holiday lights. We bought a white tree on a whim last year which we've had fun with. We bought blue lights with it and it was so purty. Then, this year we discovered that almost every light was toasted and we couldn't find any to replace them. Of course, we only looked in one store since I don't like to enter any stores during the Christmas holidays so going to one was a huge concession. Anyway, we bought some lights that said they were purple. Yeah, they were purple if by purple you mean pink. Since our tree is white, the whole tree looks pretty darn pink. Yikes. Hopefully they'll have a better selection of lights next year. :-)
We've been thoroughly enjoying life with a new nephew around. Terri & Tyler sure have cute babies. Tylerboy (as Emma calls her little brother) is just a darling snuggle-bug. He and Emma make quite the pair. She adores him and he really truly adores her right back. It's so fun to have them around.
We're so excited to have another brand-new nephew coming around. My sister, Leslie, is moving to the area from the Syracuse, New York area. We've missed her and her family which has grown by one since we last saw them. They have a darling little squishy named Grant to add to her 3 cuties. They leave the day after Christmas to drive down here. They should arrive Dec. 30 when there will be much partying.
We're also looking forward to a visit from my mom & dad & baby sister (who is now 15!!) starting Dec. 28. My dad's home on a break from his security job in Iraq so we're super excited to see him. What's really fun is that Kyrie has no idea they're coming. We've told her that we'll be going to the airport to pick up some of Leslie's family (which, of course, our mom is) so she's going to be so very surprised. I can't wait to see her face when she sees them.
Off I go to bed. Hope everyone has a great Christmas Eve!!
