Happy Mother’s Day to Me!

So this year, we went old school for Mother’s Day. By that, I mean, we went to one of my oldest and longest loves…the guinea pig. They were the pets of my childhood and through much of my married life as well. We’re loving our doggy and our cutie chinchilla girls but nothing quite replaces my piggers. We thought we’d like a baby because they are so freakin’ cute but once we met this guy, it was a done deal. So here is Alonso:

 

For our fellow Doctor Who fans who feel like calling out “Allons-y, Alonso!!”, you’ve nailed the origin of his name right on. He’s already showing himself to be a little calmer than your average pigger but we’ll see if that lasts. Kyrie’s help him most of the time with short breaks to let him get used to his cage. We’re happy to have him and hope he enjoys life here with the crazy people.
