I was getting ready to write the belated birthday entry for our sweet Kyrie but we had some sad news today that will come first. One of our dear little chinchillas, Hermione, has left us to be with her little boy, Rascal Flatts. Kyrie was the one that found her body in the bottom of their cage so that wasn't a good morning. She was only about 4 years old which is definitely too young. (Female chinchillas often live closer to 12-15 years.) We're not sure what caused her death but it seemed to be peaceful. We'll miss you, Hermione!
